Frequently asked Questions![]()
Do I have to have a trial before my wedding?
A make up trial is included in the price so there is no reason not to have a trial. It is recommended that you have a trial, as this is at time where options can be discussed and tried and you will leave completely satisfied that you will look great on your wedding day.
When and Where does the trial take place?
The trial will take place approximately 1 month before your wedding at the home based studio, which has a relaxed, modern yet professional atmosphere.
What happens at the make up trial ?
Following discussions about your requirments, and taking into consideration the theme and colour schemes for the wedding, I will take time to create different looks for you to choose from. I will try different types of foundation so that you leave feeling completely happy and confident that I can create the ultimate, individual look for your wedding. Your trial may take 2-3 hours- as long as it takes for you to be completely happy!
I have seen extra trial on the price list, why would I need this?
Some brides like to have peace of mind before thay book a make up artist for their big day. By having a one off trial you can decide whether you like what I do, and in the long run give you peace of mind that you have booked the right person to do your wedding make up. You will also have another make up trial a month before your wedding day which is included in the price.
Do I need to have pictures of the make up I would like?
It is very helpful for a bride to bring pictures to her trial so that I can understand her expectations of what her wedding make up should be like, as I have learnt that one brides' definition of a natural make-up is very different to another brides. Although if you haven't got access to pictures or haven't found the picture, then I can still create the look you desire it will just take me a little longer.
How much do I need to pay at my trial?
50% of the total bill is payable at your trial the remainder should be paid 2-3 days before your wedding one week before if paying by cheque.
Do you offer any preparation packages prior to my wedding?
I am a qualified beauty therapist and offer a number of preparation packages if there is anything you particularly require then please contact me.
Can I pay by credit card?

I use products that I have personally selected and found to be the best and most suitable for long lasting bridal make up. I have selected products from top quality make up brands to more theatrical make up suppliers. I am continally updating my products and trying new make up in order to keep up with the latest trends.
How long will it take you to do my make up on the day?
Your make up on the day should take up to 45 minutes, you will be the person that I spend the most time with in order to ensure you make up is perfect. Bridesmaids and Mother of the bride will take 30 minutes each.
What is airbase airbrushing?
Used on HD TV and film, airbrushing is a foundation that is applied to the face using an airbrush. This gives a long lasting make-up that requires no touch ups, meaning the bride and bridesmaids needn’t worry about their make-up degenerating throughout the day. The silicone based make up enables a flawless finish with a light weightless feel that is long lasting. See website: www.airbasemakeup.com
Why do I need a professional make up artist to do my wedding make up?
When you have your bridal make up applied by myself you will feel relaxed and calm and know that your make up will look perfect for your wedding pictures and for the rest of the day as I will be using professional techniques to achieve this. Applying the make up yourself will mean that you have more to do and add to the stress of the day prior to your wedding, your own make up may not last very long and may look adverse on the photographs.
